But don't you think that through the process of being widely distributed throughout the crowds, wisdom becomes hymogenized, becomes a watered down version of truths that are unsupported by personal experience? Isn't this, after all, why greatest truths are turned into cliches– that is: things that are deeply true but said to be so without knowledge or deeper understanding and so become dogmatic–? Isn't this one of the problems with organized religion? Is there, after all, such a thing as “wisdom into the masses”? However we all have similar experiences, all know certain pains and joys… But biodiversity, the sheer array of contrasting ideas in life, that is the beauty of it: that all paths are the path to enlightenment. and yet I believe that wisdom does occurr, and I do believe that people have benefitted from the sharing of someone else's wisdom. So the key is to find wisdom, but to find it in a unique and personal fashion, whether imparted by a book read by millions, or by an experience you had, once, with a butterfly, on a sunny hill.
